Friday Morning Fly By: The countdown begins

*Yesterday marked the beginning of the BSH 25 Under 25, which should be actually fin this time around since their are just about 25 actually-good players under the age of 25 in the Flyers’ organization right now. First up, Alexis Gendron. [BSH]

*Jay O’Brien, we hardly knew ye. Perhaps the biggest bungle of the Hextall era is gone, and we’ve got a draft pick to show for it. [Inquirer]

*If we are being honest there are a lot of questions heading into this season – there are always a lot of questions though, huh? – but these five are probably the ones we need answered most. [Inquirer]

*It looks like a couple of Flyers who found themselves on last year’s trade bait list will find themselves there again this season. [The Athletic]

*Big news around the league yesterday was Jonathan Toews announcing that he’s definitely NOT retiring, but he’s not playing hockey anymore. [NHL.com]

*There’s been a lot of power-shifting in each of the NHL’s four divisions this summer, and the Metro shift is so annoying. [Sportsnet]

*Are any of You People still playing ‘chel? Are we still calling it that? Anyway the newest version promises to have lots of new features for you to enjoy. [ESPN]

*Brand new Flyperbole dropped yesterday! [BSH]

*And finally, this is kind of interesting. For me, anyway. Because I’m very curious to see how much Flyers’ fans opinions of the front office have shifted in light of all the changes. So go tell the people what you think! [The Athletic]

In fact, you can take this survey even if you don’t subscribe to The Athletic, which is very cool. So no excuse.
