Tuesday Morning Fly By: Provy, you’re up

*We’ve been waiting a long, long time for these RFA defenseman chips to start falling and folks, we are off. Zach Werenski has signed with the Blue Jackets, and his contract bodes well for the Flyers as far as setting the market goes. [The Cannon]

*Anyhoo! If you’re not able to attend any of the Flyers’ rookie or training camps, no worries. We’ve got you covered. Here’s a rundown of this past weekend’s action. [BSH]

*One guy having a strong camp so far is Felix Sandstrom, who we will finally get to see in the AHL this season. [Inquirer]

*One of the young guys we don’t hear much about, Connor Bunnaman, is looking good too. [BSH]

*Samuel Morin, for his part, is going to have to prove that he belongs on an NHL roster. Or else! [Inquirer]

*The rookies aren’t the only ones with something to prove heading into this season. These five guys should be feeling pretty warm, too. [BSH]

*As we draw closer to the regular season, our own Bill Matz ranks each NHL team and why we should fear them. Or not fear them. Either way. [BSH]

*Speaking of rankings, here’s a run down of this summer’s biggest stories around the NHL. [ProHockeyTalk]

*A lot of good things happened to the Devils this summer, which is annoying, but now they might lose Pavel Zacha, which I guess is bad even though he sucks… anyway Ray Shero is definitely not mad about it. [AP]

*When you get down to it the reason all of the RFA sturm und drang has been happening this summer is the hard cap. Why does it seem like no one is interested in exploring another option? [The Hockey News] *note: this is video, not text. Seemed worth linking, though.

*And finally… a bit of respect from Claude Giroux from the hockey media at large! Wondrous! [BSH]
