WOO!
Joel Farabee scored his first career goal. Carter Hart stopped Jack Hughes and Taylor Hall to wrap up the skills competition (Kyle Palmieri hit the post as Jersey’s first shooter). The 2019 first overall pick had a rough night, also getting laid out by Matt Niskanen behind the net.

Sean Couturier is playing through some sort of injury as was unable to take draws, but he was well enough to pick up an assist on Oskar Lindblom’s team-leading 7th goal of the season in the first, then added a goal of his own in the second, before scoring the only goal of the shootout to give Philly the lead and put the game in Hart’s hands. And it was a beaut.

This was not a mistake-free game. The Flyers controlled play for the most part but made some big mistakes, and failed to cash in on some of their own chances, keeping New Jersey in the game.
And, of course, Wayne Simmonds scored his first goal of season, and only his second tally since he was traded in late February. Including the playoffs, Simmer has two goals in his last 40 games. But No. 17 looked look he was in his prime again on this one.
That’s all. Listen to the postgame.
