Obviously, Michal Neuvirth played well in the last major hockey tournament in which he participated: the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
And it looks as though he’ll have the chance to do that again in another major tournament: all signs are pointing to him owning the net for Team Czech Republic in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
Michal Neuvirth has had his own net in practice today for the Czechs, a good indication he will start vs. Canada tomorrow. #WCH2016

The Czechs open the tournament against Canada on 8 p.m. Saturday night. Ondrej Pavelec and Petr Mrazek are the other goaltenders on the Czech team, which also of course features Flyers forward Jakub Voracek up front.
Canada is going to be quite the test for the underdog Czechs … but, I mean, Neuvy might be able to handle it?
