Monday Morning Fly By: Can we get off of this roller coaster?

*One game up, one game down. Way she goes, boys. Way she goes. Flyers dropped Saturday’s game against the Flames. Here’s what we learned. [BSH]

*The Flames were on a six game skid so of course the Flyers helped them turn things around. [TSN]

*Good news is Kevin Hayes scored a goal in that game, which he really needed. Hopefully this gets him going. [Inquirer]

*Also good was that the game marked the return of Scott Laughton to the lineup. It’s easy to forget how important he is to this lineup. [BSH]

*Shayne Gostisbehere was healthy scratched in the game in favor of Robert Hagg. AV seemed to indicate it was a decision based on matchups, but let’s be real: Ghost has sucked. [NBC Sports Philly]

*It’s been super up and down for this team over this season, and one thing that might help them steady things? Consistent scoring! A wild idea! [Courier-Post]

*The team does have one consistent scorer, though. Morgan Frost. Miss me with the small sample size stuff; kid’s great and has been a breath of fresh air for this team. [Inquirer]

*Tonight the Flyers will be meeting up with the Vancouver Canucks and will need to keep a sharp eye on Quinn Hughes, who has been a force on the ‘Nucks blueline. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, enjoy your Monday coffee with this long read on the man who is responsible for some of the most iconic hockey photos ever taken. [Sportsnet]
