In news I likely wouldn’t have predicted early this season, Friedman has just as many points as Phil Myers with eight in his first 11 games.
German Rubtsov (C): 2 GP, 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 shots
2016 1st Round Pick, 22nd overall
The Germ picked up his fifth goal of the season on a short-handed chance on Friday. He has eight points in 11 games as well.
Mikhail Vorobyev (C), 2 GP, 1 goal, 1 assist, 5 shots
2015 4th Round Pick, 104th overall
Vorobyev is back in the AHL after failing to make an impression on the NHL head coach. He picked up his first points of the season in Friday’s game.
Carsen Twarynski (LW): 2 GP, 1 shot, 2 PIM

Twarynski has more penalty minutes this season (11) than he does points (1), shots (10) and games played (9).
David Kaše (RW): 2 GP, 1 goal, 2 shots

Kaše is another first-year AHLer who hasn’t had much trouble putting up points. The 21-year old has five points (three goals, two assists) in eight games.

No points for The Bun-man means he still has just two points (one goal, one assist) in his first seven AHL games.

Hart got Friday’s start and picked up his 2nd OT loss of the season and is 2-2-2 overall. His SV% sits at .882 in the early-going.

Not your typical week from Frost, who was putting up nearly-two-points-per-game numbers prior to this week. Not on the scoresheet above is Frost did get a shootout goal in Sunday’s loss to Erie. Frost has 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists) in 19 games.

Ratcliffe, if he keeps this pace up, could eclipse 50 goals in his fourth OHL season. He has 13 goals and 8 assists in 17 games this season.

After praising Strome’s recent hot streak, he of course went cold this week and doesn’t have any points in his last three games. Strome has 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 17 games.
Maksim Sushko (RW), Owen Sound Attack (OHL)
2017 4th Round Pick, 107th overall
A fine week for Sushko who now has nine points in his last 10 games. He has 13 in 18 games overall.
Wyatte Wylie (D), Everett Silvertips (WHL)
2018 5th Round Pick, 127th overall
Wylie remains one of the top scoring defensemen in the WHL with 15 (two goals, 13 assists) in 17 games. That is ninth best in the league.
Egor Zamula (D), Calgary Hitmen (WHL)

After no points in his first eight games, Zamula has put together nine (2 G, 7 A) in his last 10.
Notable European performers this week
Linus Högberg (D), Växjö Lakers HC (SHL)
2016 5th Round Pick, 139th overall
Högberg, after scoring his first goal/point of the season last week, is silent once again. The time-on-ice for the team remain consistent, which is a very good thing.
David Bernhardt (D), Djurgårdens IF (SHL)
2016 7th Round Pick, 199th overall
Bernhardt’s time-on-ice dips again and also sees him miss another game. It’s very likely his early-season injury is holding him back once again.
Adam Ginning (D), Linköping HC (SHL)
2018 2nd Round Pick, 50th overall
The 18 year old remains at one goal for the season.
Olle Lycksell (RW/C), Linköping HC (SHL)

It’s hard to tell without really knowing his role and usage, but Lycksell has hit a bit of an offensive dry-spell. He has just five points (one goal, four assists) in 16 games.
Marcus Westfält (C), Brynäs IF (SHL)

No offense (see: points) yet for Westfält since joining Brynäs in seven games. Had five (one goal, four assists) in eight games for the J20 club earlier this season.

Not looking great for Sandström, who was the backup in all three games last week. He has struggled this season to a tune of a .893 SV% in 7 games.
Samuel Ersson (G), Västerås IK (Allsvenskan)

Don’t look now, but Ersson has the best SV% in Allsvenskan with .934. He is nearly 10 years younger than the goalie right behind him.

Fedotov remained the backup for Salavat last week, but didn’t see action. He returned to his VHL team following the weekend.

Hain returned from an injury, but was the 13th skater and did not see action for UND vs. Wyatt Kalnyuk and Wisconsin this weekend. The freshman has one assist in his first three games.
