The Philadelphia Flyers returned home trying to avenge a shutout loss over the weekend with a game against the Florida Panthers. Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds each scored twice in a five-goal second period, but the Flyers would eventually blow their three-goal lead in the third. The game would head to a shootout where Jordan Weal would net the game-winner and Cal Pickard, who replaced Brian Elliott in the third period, would make the save to ice a 6-5 win for the Orange and Black.
